My children fuel my soul just as delicious healthy food fuels my body during the day.
My New Year’s resolution this year has been focused around being my best self and living life with no regrets. Being positive is a big one for me, and I honestly believe that when I am healthy and have energy during the day, I am happy, which most importantly means my kids are happy.
One of the things that keep me healthy is eating well. I know that the food we put in our body plays a huge role in how we feel. When I choose good, wholesome food, I am in control of my body, plus I feel empowered. When I feel empowered, I am more positive and have more energy - it is a great, continuous cycle.
The hard part is, eating good, wholesome food is not always easy or convenient.
Everyone knows that changing eating habits can be challenging, so for me having a stocked pantry is a must and makes eating healthy easier. Honestly, it is quite easy to eat a piece of cake, or perhaps the whole cake, when it's the only option in your home! For this reason, I try to have lots of healthy snacks available so when I am tempted I can make the right choice.
Healthy snacks don't have to be BORING and bland, and in fact, there are many yummy snacks and treat options available these days. It is amazing what you can find.
