HoneyBaked Ham {Review & Giveaway}

I always look forward to the holidays and spending time with family! Being in the kitchen cooking and baking can create some of the best memories, but it can also be exhausting and extremely time consuming.

Growing up, I was blessed with a Dad who loved to cook and always made the best meals. He was and still is a genius in the kitchen and can take anything in the fridge and pantry and make a delicious meal out of it. Because of his love of food, he was always in charge of our holiday meals. The only downside of this was his poor time management always made for a late meal. I can't count how many times my mom would try and have a reasonable conversation with him about preparing the food earlier in the day so it would be ready on time. My brothers and I would just laugh in the background, because we all knew that would NEVER happen! But being a good husband, he would always agree to make my mom happy!

My Dad's passion for food has definitely been passed onto me and I was fortunate to have married my husband who also has a passion for cooking. We love coming up with fun new meals to cook for different holidays, but having learned what "not to do" from my Dad, we also like to incorporate some pre-made dishes and sides, saving precious time that we could be spending with our family.
Easter is only a couple of weeks away, so I was excited at the opportunity to shop at HoneyBaked Ham. They sell everything from bone-in hams to smoked turkey breasts, as well as sides and yummy desserts, making Easter hassle-free.
We visited the Chicago,Villa Park location and we're able to pick up some tasty items. We tried HoneyBaked's moist and tender smoked turkey that is coated with the same signature sweet and crunchy glaze that is also on their signature hams. My husband is pretty picky, and the first thing out of his mouth was "this is delicious!" I, too, was very pleased with the smoked turkey and was able to enjoy it all week long. We ate it for dinner, then made some delicious turkey sandwiches. It was so good, my husband and I even caught each other sneaking some cold turkey out of the fridge.
A few other products we got were two Heat & Share Sides for $13.99. We picked the yummy Potatoes Au Gratin and the Spinach Artichoke Dip. We also got some Porkback Ribs, the Gourmet Cheese Cake Sampler and some HoneyBaked Ham Dijon Mustard.

Ribs are my husbands favorite, so these were a must. Although the sauce could have been a bit sweeter, they were extremely tender and the meat just fell off the bones. Yum!

The sides as well as the cheese cake were equally delicious. We definitely enjoyed the time we saved from having to cook a big meal and spent it playing with our kids instead. Everyone was happy, and that is always my goal.
