Grandy Oats {Review & Giveaway}

Disclosure: I received a complementary product from Grandy Oats to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
Whenever there is an opportunity to purchase organic foods I always do because I know it's helping my family. Our bodies need nutritionally dense foods and organic foods are proven to be more nutritious than conventional ones, plus I don't have to worry as much about artificial flavors, colors and whatever else gets snuck into our foods these days.

Finding companies that believe in wholesome foods is extremely fun for me and I enjoy supporting them as often as I can. Just recently I came across Grandy Oats when searching for organic oats and fell in love with their products and their story on how this company came to be.

Why Organic?
"At GrandyOats, we believe in sustainable business practices. Being an organic producer and using organically grown ingredients is one of the best ways we can achieve this goal. In 2000, we began the lengthy process of sourcing organic ingredients. It took us 4 years to get there but we achieved our goal and became certified organic in the summer of 2004."

I have had the delightful opportunity of partnering with Grandy Oats for this review and was sent some yummy sample packs to try out. They sent me some of their Organic Chocolate Almond Trail Mix, Organic Wheat Free, Salt Free Granola, Organic Nori Sesame Cashews, Organic Super Raw Trail Mix, and some Organic Cranberry Chew Granola.
My kids are a big part of the reason why I choose to eat organic, so having them help me on this review was a lot of fun! They absolutely loved all of the samples, and said their favorites were the Cranberry Chew Granola and the Chocolate Almond Trail Mix. I knew that they liked them because they were gone in a matter of minutes!

I on the other hand really enjoyed the Nori Sesame Cashews and was a little sad when I reached into the bag to find that I had ate them all.
Here are just a few of the benefits to eating organic: (off their site)
• Organic Foods are more nutritious, especially raw and minimally processed foods. On average, organic foods are 25% more nutritious, with more beta-carotene and other vitamins, antioxidants (cancer-fighters), flavonoids (help stave off heart problems), polyphenols and essential fatty acids.
• NO chemical additives, artificial sweeteners, chemical preservatives or contaminants that are known to cause health problems
• Less negative environmental impact. Organic farming has been shown to improve wildlife habitats, increase soil health, and create more jobs than industrial farming. We produce our granolas, nuts and trail mixes the way nature intended. We give back to the earth and the earth gives great ingredients back to us!
