The Original SoupMan has been in my home for the last week! Alright, maybe not AL himself, but his delicious soups have been simmering on our stove for days. You may be familiar with the "No Soup For You!" episodes from Seinfield, but you may be surprised that The Original SoupMan's world famous soups were famous long before the famous "Seinfeld" episode that inspired the Soup Nazi character.
January was officially National Soup Month and since it has been such a cold and snowy winter here in Chicago, soup has been served a lot for lunch and dinner in our home.
My husband and I, being big Seinfeld fans and lovers of all soups, were ecstatic when we found out that we would be reviewing these delicious and famous soups. We received The Original SoupMan's Jambalaya, Crab & Corn, Chicken Gumbo, All-Natural Tomato Bisque, Chicken Noodle Soup, Lobster Bisque and All-Natural Lentil.
Having worked in a restaurant in my high school and college years, I fell in love with Jambalaya Soup and Chicken Gumbo, so these two soups definitely brought back some delicious and fun memories.
A few things that my husband and I liked about these was the fact that these soups are so versatile. If we had no time, we were able to warm them up quickly and eat them as they were, or if we wanted to spice them up a little we could do that as well.
On the backs of the soup containers there are some great ideas to do with the soup. We enjoyed making them all fancy while adding our own white fish, or topping the soups with some yummy cheese. Either way they were quite delightful and warmed our tummies during these cold days!
And just for fun, I couldn't resist adding a clip from the famous "Seinfeld" Soup Nazi episode. I can watch these over and over again, for they never get old!
Available at over 500 Walmart locations, over 750 Stop & Shop, 1400 Safeway stores, Giant, Martin’s Supermarkets, plus other grocers across the nation, fans can enjoy The SoupMan's original recipes in the comfort of their own home. Find a store near you here: http://bit.ly/16FyefS.
