On these cold and snowy days, I have spent many days indoors with my kids. We constantly rely on games and crafts to keep us busy and if I didn't have laundry and meals to make we would do crafts ALL DAY LONG!
My girls LOVE crafts, and just today alone I think my oldest daughter asked me more than ten times if we could do some crafts. Even before we are finished with the one we are making she'll be thinking of other things she wants to make.
I love her enthusiasm and enjoy watching their minds hard at work while creating pieces of art!
One company that I have come to rely on a lot, mainly because they have the best craft kits is Melissa & Doug. When I'm in the store, I am always drawn to their products and my kids love them!
...And not only do they have great arts and crafts, but they have a great line of toys and games as well.
We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to review two amazing products from Melissa & Doug. We received their Smarty Pants - Kindergarten Card Set. My oldest is five in just a couple of weeks and is pretty much obssessed with these cards. She is always asking me to ask her questions, and I can never resist cuddling on the couch with her while we go through them!
The card set comes with 120 cards that have questions, puzzles and games on them. Being that she is not in kindergarten yet, I was amazed at how much she knew already and what she has learned through these cards. Not only are they fun to ask, but I have found myself having great conversations with her about everything from nature to table manners.
These have been great to have around especially on these cold, wintery days! Plus they have many different Smarty Pants to choose from depending on the age of your kids!
The second product we received to review is Melissa & Doug's Musical Pull Beehive Baby Toy. Although this is going to be for our little girl who has not arrived yet, my other three kids have had fun playing with it too! It's too soft and cuddly to resist, plus the lovely sympathy of music and the adorable retracting, smiling bumble bee is too darn cute. I really like the fact that you pull on the bee and it comes out of the beehive, then as it plays the music it slowly goes back into its hive teaching babies to "grab, reach and pull to bring the bee toward them."
