*UPDATED* Spend Time Together Over the Holiday with Pastime Puzzles & Winning Moves Games GIVEAWAY (closed)

When families gather together over the holiday there is plenty of opportunities to have fun and enjoy quality time with one another.  Often time people have traditions they do with their families.  Growing up, every time my family got together we would talk, laugh, share stories, eat, and play.  But one thing we always did together was play games.  Each of us has our own friendly competitive spirit and there's nothing better than some entertaining games to liven up our gatherings.  Playing games when our families get together has become a tradition in both me and my husband's families.  And as we continue to grow our own little family, we are carrying on that beloved tradition in our home as well.

This year, due to a difficult pregnancy we are staying home for the holidays.  But thanks to Winning Moves Games, we will still have plenty of game-playing fun to fill up the season!  We even plan on enlisting other families staying put for the holidays to come and join us for some entertainment.  We recently received Pit, Clue, and PayDay from Winning Moves Games.  All three are classic games which are perfect for some great family fun!
Pit is a great fast-paced action-packed game to play with family and friends.  My husband and I still remember playing it for the first time with some friends of ours and boy was it fun!  The game involves trading and collecting commodity cards are "cornering the market" to win.  It's a lot of fun and very fast-paced.
PayDay is something I remember playing as a kid.  The object of the game is to get the most money by the end of the time period.  It teaches all about real life situations of earning and spending money as well as getting loans and such.  Be responsible, earn as much money as you can, and try not to get caught with tons of expenses to be the ultimate winner!
I love solving a good mystery so being able to now own Clue has been such a blast!  With it's quirky characters and twists and turns--you have to be on your "A game" to figure out who the murderer was, with what weapon, and where it all went down.  The kids have really been loving this game and solving the clues with us.  We love seeing who can be the best detective and win the game!
Along with games, something I have seen a lot of families do over the holidays as a tradition is puzzles.  Piecing together puzzles with your family can be a lot of fun!  Pastime Puzzles has a great selection of entertaining puzzles for you families.
This year we will be trying out a new tradition of completing some holiday puzzles together.  We received the 12 Days of Christmas Puzzle and Balloons Balloons Puzzle.  I thought it would be fun doing a holiday-themed puzzle together which we could display on a table over the rest of the season.  The holiday scene is so enchanting and seeing the snow-covered village really brings the Christmas spirit in to our home.  I also got the Balloons puzzle because it reminded me so much of Albuquerque, New Mexico where we are currently living.  You can find hot air balloons littering the skies here year round as well as the yearly International Balloon Fiesta which we love so much.  The vintage hot air balloon puzzle is so pretty and will definitely fit right in with our surroundings!
What's cool about Pastime Puzzles is that they have these cool special shaped puzzles pieces included in their sets.  Shapes you wouldn't traditionally find in a puzzle are included to add a little more intrigue and fun to the mix!  We've already found animal shaped pieces and more in the puzzles we are doing!

  1. These look like great games. I have only played clue, and that was a long time ago. We love playing games as a family, I think it is time to check these out further.

  4. We love to do puzzles, too. The hardest part is that our cats jump on the table and there goes the puzzle! One of my cats, no lie, will jump up, take a piece in her mouth and she brings it down to the basement. Now she's telling us who is boss! ha I like the puzzle of the cats, A Chorus Line. Thanks for the chance to win!

  5. I remember as a youngster doing puzzles with unusually shaped pieces. We would work SO hard to be the one to find where to put those pieces. My family would love any of the puzzles!
