2013 Holiday Gift Guide: PLAY-DOH and Silver Dolphin Books (Review & Giveaway)

Silver Dolphin Books and Hasbro are at it again! They have teamed up to create an entire line of fabulous books and activity sets with the fitting tagline "Where Learning and Creativity Take Shape."

Just in time for holiday gift giving, Silver Dolphin is debuting three new titles literally bursting with colorful images, engaging stories and craft ideas and classic PLAY-DOH components, including cans of PLAY-DOH, plastic shaping utensils and double-sided play mats. Truly the COMPLETE package!

About the PLAY-DOH book and craft sets:
* Christmas Craft Fun -- a boxed set which contains a 32-page activity book, a whimsical story about Holiday Hound and Christmas in Jollytown, 4 cans of Play-Doh, and 15 cool holiday projects will certainly keep youngsters busy Christmas morning making their own ornaments and decorations.

* Let’s Create: Letters introduces youngsters to the letters of the alphabet, the first step in learning to read. Zany Zebra takes a trip through different classroom settings to identify key objects related to letters.

* Let’s Create: Shapes, kids take a trip through “town” and learn basic shape recognition – a key pre-school math skill.
We were lucky enough to receive all three titles: Christmas Craft Fun, Let's Create: Shapes and Let's Create: Letters. My girls and my little boy play with Play-Doh at least once a week, so they thought these sets were so much fun!

Each kit comes with a book and activities to go a long with the book theme. Our favorite book was the letters because we have been working on our letters lately and my kids thought it was so cool that they could spell words with the Play-Doh.

The shapes book was also super fun because we were able to find all the different shapes in the book, then we made our own boats using the shapes we learned about.

Lastly, perfect for Christmas, was their Christmas Craft Fun. My oldest daughter thought it was the coolest thing to be able to make Play-Doh candy canes, presents, and a snowman. It made her even more excited about Santa and couldn't wait for her daddy to come home so she could show off her creations!
