Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey ® Built To Amaze in Chicago (Review)

This past Friday we had the opportunity to experience the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey ® Built To Amaze circus performance. Having a love for animals, up beat music, bright colors and funny things, this performance was perfect for my kids!
Before the show started we got to go down onto the circus floor and take pictures and talk with the performers--it was pretty awesome! My youngest daughter was a little shy and held onto me a little tighter when around the silly clown, but my boy was brave and gave him a high five!
"The All Access Pre-show begins one hour before show time, and is available to all ticket holders at no extra charge! During the Pre-show, you will be able to be on the arena floor and experience The Greatest Show On Earth up close in ways you never could before!"
During the pre-show we got to dress up in the circus attire, which was actually pretty neat because I had no idea how heavy they were. We got to watch horses do tricks, elephants paint, clowns juggle, walk the tight rope and we even got some cool tattoos!
We had many favorite acts, one of them being the beautiful Bengal Tigers.  It was pretty amazing to see that many cats at once! Taba, the trainer, is a sixth-generation circus performer who knows how to build trust with tigers! He also has the world's largest exhibition of Bengal Tigers in Built to Amaze! I really couldn't believe how much he trusted the tigers. I would have to have them all in view if I even thought about going into a cage with that many tigers weighing more than 500 pound each.
Between the more serious, sweaty palm acts are totally fabulous, laugh out loud, goofy performances. The circus wouldn't be a circus without clowns, right? My kids couldn't stop laughing as the clowns ran around drenching one another with paint buckets.
Then there were the elephants! How do they get elephants to do tricks? They were sitting then they were standing on two feet while balancing on their noses. And lastly, was the Exhilarating Elliana Grace, the youngest female cannonball flew 100ft out of the cannon! The show just got more exciting as it went on. We had a blast, and can't wait to go again!
