2013 Holiday Gift Guide: Winning Moves Games Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

Holidays just wouldn't be complete without games in our home--we love them!  Gathering together to play games is an all time favorite in our family, so what better gift than a game!  Winning Moves Games has lead the way in game making with all time favorites that will never grow old.  From Classic Monopoly, Clue, Sorry, and more--these games are treasured in homes throughout the nation!
I love finding those nostalgic games you grew up playing and was so happy when Winning Moves Games allowed me to review some games from their vast selection.
As a young girl I remember this game we used to play all the time at my friend's house.  I remember having such a great time playing it but hadn't thought of it or seen it in several years until I discovered it in the Winning Moves selection of children's games.  The game is called Uncle Wiggly.  When I got the game, I was absolutely ecstatic!  Memories flooded of all the good game play I had with my friends and the game growing up.  We couldn't wait to play it with our kids.  The object of the game is simple and fun--get your Uncle Wiggly to Dr. Possum's Office.  You take turns moving spaces based on the numbered card you pick (which has a cute poem to go along with each move) and make your way along the road to the end goal.  There's a Rabbit Hole shortcut and beware of certain cards that move you back spaces.  Getting to the end is so much fun and everyone is entertained through the journey!  I'm so glad Uncle Wiggly has made it into our home and now my kids can create memories playing the game with their friends just like I did!
Another game we got was the Totally Crazy Eights card game.  I remember this game again playing it as a child, but hadn't played it in so long that I basically forgot how to play.  Learning to play it all over again brought back my remembrance of how much fun it is to play.  The cool design of this game with the "8" shape and ability to see two cards at once was a fun new spin and definitely enticing for my kids.  I also really loved how great of an educational game this can be with helping my daughter practice her math skills and become better and better and quickly adding numbers!
My husband's family favorite game at the moment is Rook.  We play it every time we visit and have such a great time.  I was thrilled when we were able to receive the Deluxe Rook card game.  With updated vibrant colored cards in larger font print, the deluxe cards are awesome!  Now I can practice my Rook strategies at home and improve so that next time we visit his family or they visit ours, I'll be ready for some intense gameplay!
And finally, the last game we received from Winning Moves was Classic Trouble.  Oh who doesn't remember popping the bubble and moving their pegs in this beloved game!?  My kids went nuts over this game.  They loved pushing the bubble and hearing it pop up.  It's a great game to play with your family because it's easy to play (moving spaces and getting your pegs safely home) and lots of fun!  I specifically remember playing this game in the car with my siblings during long road trips and how much entertainment we got from it.  Seeing my kids loving to play it and getting to relive those fond memories is a blast!

  12. In a heartbeat, I would choose Uncle Wiggly! Im sister and I had this game when we were kids and we loved it. She would be tickled pink if I gave this to my kids. I can see her coming down to visit and wanting to play with them.
