2013 Holiday Gift Guide: Peaceable Kingdom Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

Peaceable Kingdom has some awesome gift ideas for the holiday season!  Their cooperative games, sticker packs, card games, books, and more are the perfect kid-friendly solution to your holiday needs!
My kids and I are huge fans of Peaceable Kingdom!  Their cooperative games are awesome!  All players must work together against a common obstacle, not against each other.  Playing Peaceable Kingdom Cooperative games with my kids has been so fun.  I love watching my kids work together, making decisions together, and routing each other on as they try to win the game.  There is no competition, no fighting, and no one being left out.  Any of their cooperative games would make great holiday gifts for your kids.  We just got to try out their Snug as a Bug in a Rug Cooperative Game.
The object of Snug as a Bug in a Rug is to get all the colorful little bugs tucked tightly away underneath the rug before the three big grey stink bugs make a big stinky mess of the place!  What is great about this particular cooperative game is all of the many different ways you can play it.  Depending on the age and skill set of your kids, Snug as a Bug in a Rug is set up so that you can play it on a variety of different levels. During the game players take turns spinning the spinner and looking for bugs that match both the die and spinner. However in Level 1 (ages 3-4), you only roll the die once at the beginning of the game and match accordingly. In Level 2 (ages 4-5), you roll the die on every player's turn and match with what is rolled (can be colors, shapes, numbers, etc.). And if you want to take it even one step more, you can try Level 3 (ages 5-6) where you only use the spinner to find two bugs that match!  But no matter what way you play, just be on the lookout for the stink bugs!  Whenever you can't find a matching bug, you must place a stink bug on the board.  Try and hurry to match all the bugs and tuck them under the rug before all three stink bugs get on the board!
The first time we played we were so close to winning.  We only had 2 matches to go, but those nasty stink bugs beat us!  My kids were so anxious to play again and give it another try to beat those darn stink bugs.  We had so much fun playing and each taking turns.  The older 2 kids would help out my youngest girl and they all were being so compassionate and encouraging to each other which was great!  This is a big reason why I just LOVE all of the great creative cooperative games Peaceable Kingdom has!  Be sure to check out their entire collection of cooperative games, as they have plenty to choose from!
Like I previously mentioned we always enjoyed playing Peaceable Kingdom's games so when we were given the opportunity to try another one of their great products, we were thrilled.  We got their Foil Art Sticker Kit.  The Foil Art Sticker Kit features 8 different fun pictures that you transform into colorful artwork using bright, holographic foil.  It's a lot like coloring a picture, but with a whole new twist using holographic foil instead of crayons or markers.  All you do is peel away the yellow sticker parts on the pictures and use whatever foil you want to color in the area.  Simply place the colored foil on top of the area, rub down, and gently pull away to reveal the transferred foil.  I have never seen anything like it and my kids and I had a blast creating our different pieces of artwork!  We had so much fun using the Foil Art Sticker Kit and I will definitely be buying more of these!
