What's in a Hug? Big Hugs Elmo Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

HUG
1. To clasp or hold closely, especially in the arms, as in affection; embrace.
2. To hold steadfastly to; cherish.
Hugs are definitely something the world could use more of.  They leave everlasting impressions and spread love and comfort.  The power of a hug is truly amazing and I can think of so many occasions where a simple hug has changed me.  Whether to comfort the sorrow of a loss, to express joy and happiness of something special, to even a the simple act of a hurried embrace with one of my children before heading out the door--a hug is quite a powerful thing.
As a mom, there is nothing more special than sharing a loving hug with your child.  I love that whenever one of my kids is hurt, they know they can instantly run to their father and I to be held in our arms as we hug and comfort them.  And somehow that one hug seems to do the trick and they are instantly comforted.  Which brings the question--What's in a hug?  How is the simple act of embracing so powerful?  It's kind of puzzling right?  A hug can turn bad into good, it can heal, it can comfort, it can even transfer love.  Often times our family will hug in celebration "Great job!  You did it!" Or we use it to cheer each other up.  One thing is for sure, a hug is a powerful tool that every family should be utilizing.  Ask yourself, When was the last time you hugged your child, your spouse, your loved one?  When was the last time YOU were hugged?  Think of the emotions and power a hug can bring.  Why wouldn't you want to surround yourself with more hugging?
That's why the Big Hugs Elmo is so awesome!  This cherished and loved familiar character is teaching children and even adults like me to hug more. Not only does Big Hugs Elmo love getting hugs from children, but he will actually wrap his arms around you and hug back!  It's so sweet to see my kids hugging and even kissing Elmo.  They were so taken back by Elmo hugging them and you could see that even a doll giving a hug was a powerful thing. (Just look at their expressions in the pictures)  But that's not all...Elmo just wouldn't be well Elmo if there wasn't some fun involved too!  When hugging Big Hugs Elmo will interact with you saying fun phrases or even singing a sweet song about hugs, but when you press Elmo's left foot he'll invite you to play pretend and join in on 1 of 4 imagination activities. Lastly, when you are all tuckered out and need some rest, lay Elmo down in a flat position and he'll become sleepy, sing a lullaby, and make sleeping sound effects courtesy of the "Sleep" switch position on his back.
We really loved the Big Hugs Elmo.  He is bigger and better than ever showing how hugs can be so great and giving kids some fun and entertainment too!  In fact, Big Hugs Elmo is so great that it's been given the coveted PTPA Seal of Approval!
