Salba Chia Seeds (Review & Giveaway)

Are you a fan of Chia Seeds? We have been using Chia Seeds in our diet for quite some time now and love the great health benefits these little seeds have on our bodies.
I was delighted to have the opportunity to review Salba Chia Seeds and have learned so much from this review! We received three products from them: Salba Chia Seeds Whole Seed, Salba Chia Seeds Premium Ground and a box of their Salba Chia Seeds Boost packets. We have used all three of these products for different things and have really enjoyed each one! My husband especially enjoyed the Salba Chia Seeds Boost packets because when he is on the go studying, or is hurrying out the door, he can grab a packet to add to his lunch or drink for an extra boost to his day!
If you are not familiar with Salba Chia Seeds, they are little white seeds that are extremely easy to add to your daily diet. They are full of vital nutrients and are a great way to boost your daily nutrition. They can be eaten whole or ground up. And when put into liquid a gelatinous coating forms around the seed, making a very neat texture when added to drinks!

Before reviewing Salba Chia Seeds, I never knew there was a difference in the quality of Chia Seeds. For instance, Salba Chia Seeds are grown under strictly controlled conditions, where they control the amount of phytonutrients in each batch. Generic Chia Seeds are grown wild and in varying climates which can result in a very inconsistent and unreliable nutrient composition.
Here are some Vital Nutrients found in Salba Chia Seeds!
Traditionally, getting all the vitamins and minerals needed for a balanced diet can be complicated. The small and mighty Salba chia seeds include many of the essential vitamins and minerals needed for a diet centered around health and whole nutrition without ever having to take a pill. Salba chia is loaded with the following:

Omega-3s

A serving of Salba chia is packed with 3,425mg of Omega-3 (ALA). This essential fatty acid is used by the body to form cell walls and contributes to improved circulation and cell function.

Fiber

Salba chia contains 5.1g of dietary fiber per serving. Fiber supports healthy digestion and increases satiety, helping to ward of cravings and sugar crashes.

Calcium

Each serving of Salba chia has 115.5mg of calcium, an essential mineral important for bone health.

Iron

Salba chia contains 1.25mg of iron per serving. Iron is integral to health used to build muscle and ensure oxygenation to cells, an important element to maintaining energy.

Magnesium

Salba chia has 57mg of magnesium, needed to maintain muscle and nerve function and immune support.

Other Nutrients

Salba chia also contains naturally occurring Vitamin A, Biotin, Niacin, Protein, Copper, Riboflavin, Foliate, Vitamin C, Thiamine, Molybdenum, Zinc and Pantothnate.

We use Chia Seeds in numerous different ways. I almost always add them to my baking, such as cookies, pancakes, muffins and I always put them in our morning oatmeal and shakes! And if it's a crazy busy morning, I'll just sprinkle some on my kids' cereal. It's so easy and my kids don't even know they are there.
