*UPDATE* Reading Kingdom Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

* I posted this review last week, but Reading Kingdom has gotten such a great response that they've decided to add a GIVEAWAY!!*
Reading Kingdom is a unique, common core aligned English Language Arts program that uses innovative and incredibly effective techniques to teach reading, writing and comprehension.
My oldest daughter just turned six and is working on becoming a good reader.  As a mom I sometimes feel this overwhelming pressure in teaching her how to read efficiently.  I feel unprepared and unqualified sometimes with the task at hand.  However, I know that I must give her the tools to learn and grow.  That is why I was thrilled to hear about the Reading Kingdom online program which helps teach children all 6 skills required for reading and writing success!
I know there are lots of online educational tools out there, but honestly I have never seen a program like this before.  Reading Kingdom is an adaptive reading and writing program that is personalized for each student which they can use on their own.  With the help of skills tests, the program gauges the needs of your child and guides their learning so they can get the best possible results.  My daughter's first skills test determined where her learning should start and off she was on her daily lessons on the Reading Kingdom.  I really love how things are set up in the program.  It guides her on her own to do what is needed for each lesson without the need for assistance from me.  I merely sit back and watch as she completes her tasks.  And when she gets frustrated and looks to me for help, I give her verbal encouragement to try her best and listen to the directions on the computer screen.  In fact, the program gives all of the needed assistance they need and will prompt your child, give clues, and any other help.  It's amazing seeing her triumph and gain confidence in her abilities.
So why is the Reading Kingdom program so important?
I mean do we really need a new reading program? Yes!!  Currently 2 out of 3 children fail to become proficient readers!
How can this be? Until now educators relied on phonics. But only 1 out of 5 words can be sounded out & there are 1,768 ways to spell 40 phonemes. Consider this sentence where “ea” can be pronounced 13 different ways!...
I knew in my head and heart that the theater bureau’s harsh reaction to the great and beautiful ocean/earth pageant, was mean spirited despite the caveat that their review was changeable.

How does Reading Kingdom succeed? It features the patented 6-SIM “Six Skill Integrated Method” which uses innovative techniques to teach all the reading & writing skills in an integrated fashion so that they complement and reinforce each other while fostering comprehension at every level. The result is that children become successful readers.
Key benefits of the Reading Kingdom program:
 • Research based and incredibly effective.
• Adaptive instruction.
• Students can use it on their own & they enjoy it.
• Works as a curriculum or a supplement.
• Can be used with ESL & special needs students.
I can tell you that we have absolutely LOVED using Reading Kingdom in our home.  We try and use it every day and are making it a part of our daily curriculum and schedule.  I can see progress and growth in my daughter's reading and writing abilities and will continue to use the program with her.  I can't wait to see how her reading and writing skills will have progressed after a year!
