Albert Whitman & Company (Review & Giveaway)

I often find my girls sitting with a book placed on their laps as they "pretend read". With adorable big smiles on their faces, I could sit there for hours watching them delight in such an important trait!

Reading to your kids when they're young has so many great advantages, plus the cuddle time is simply irreplaceable!

I love my snuggles, and my kids could sit with me for hours as I read to them! As we sat down for breakfast this morning, I started to tell my kids a story while teaching them some rhyming words. It was so much fun and my oldest daughter would not take her eyes off me. She was so intrigued in the story that when I had finished she was very excited to begin her own and I could see her imagination spinning out of control! And, so it is with reading, they sit in awe listening to the words and admiring each picture every time I read to them.

We were very fortunate to be able to review a list of books from Albert Whitman & Company and to have the opportunity to share them with you!
A friend of mine once told me that for every holiday she would place a basket of books in each one of her kids' rooms. They would be specifically for that holiday and the kids would get so excited to read them. I thought this was such a great idea, that I have started to accumulate books for my own kids' baskets, with a little help from Albert Whitman & Company!
We received A Father's Day Thank-YouA Wild Day with Dad for Father's Day, For Earth Day I chose In The Garden With Dr.CarverPolar Bear, Why Is Your World Melting? What's So Special about Planet Earth?Happy Birthday Tree! A Tu B'Shevat StoryThese Seas Count!Dig Those Dinosaurs, and Substitute Groundhog for Groundhog Day! Each of these have been a great teaching tool for my kids and have enjoyed them in our home.
My kids have fallen in love with every single one of these books and had had so much fun reading these new books! One of our favorites is These Seas Count!. In this book they talk about how we need to take care of our earth and what garbage can do to our oceans. I love the title of this book too because  not only do they talk about how important the sea is, but they count all the animals in the sea too! They get to learn about the environment as well as counting up to ten!
The second book that we have really enjoyed is Dig Those Dinosaurs. It is a repetitive book that is super catchy! My kids love repeating the words after me and discovering new things about Dinosaurs. This has led to some great questions and fun conversations about Dinosaurs.
