Miss Nina Sha Doo Be Doop CD REVIEW

Beloved by families throughout the NYC tri-state area, children's musician Miss Nina (Nina Stone) is releasing her second kids' CD, Sha Doo Be Doop TODAY--April 16th!  Praised for her "beautiful voice and contagious joy that children love," Nina Stone is committed to creating children's music that is actually conceived with the young child in mind.  The uncomplicated charms of Sha Doo Be Doop unfold from this child-centered focus, fueled by Nina's happy, high-energy, dancing spirit, the heart and soul of the album.
My kids and I had the wonderful pleasure of being able to review Miss Nina's She Doo Be Doop CD.  What a fun and funky mix of songs!  Each song is fun and unique in its own way.  No two are alike and yet each one draws you in with their cute lyrics and dance-able rhythms.  I really feel like the album is completely relate-able to kids.  The words ring true to children either through personal experiences or exciting stories.  I myself was drawn to familiar songs Miss Nina has on the album which are based on classic children stories.
Nina Stone has established a reputation for creating engaging songs inspired by some of her favorite children's books. On Sha Doo Be Doop kids can sing along with Miss Nina to Jane Yolen's How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight? or groove to "The Brown Bear Rap," based on Bill Martin's classic children's book, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? A particular treasure is "Wild Things," an interactive ode to Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are, in which kids can gnash their terrible teeth, roll their terrible eyes, show their terrible claws, and get up and jump when the "wild rumpus" starts! Nina Stone, as Miss Nina, has previously released a Parents' Choice Recommended Award winning album, Singing and Dancing Together (2010).
Here's a widget that offers readers a free download of "New Alphabet" from Sha Doo Be Doop. It's a danceable, rapping alternative to the ABC song!
Sha Doo Be Doop will be available online at littlemonsterrecords.com, mymissnina.com, amazon.com, iTunes, and other online outlets, as well as in retail stores throughout the U.S. and Canada.
A big THANK YOU to Miss Nina for providing me with a free CD to review.  I was not compensated for this review. I receive product(s) for free so that I can provide my insight and experience. These are my honest opinions. Your experience may vary.
