The Muppet Christmas Carol REVIEW

I know Thanksgiving hasn't even arrived yet, but I am already itching to get my Christmas decorations up and start prepping for "the most wonderful time of the year!"  Besides listening to holiday music every year, my family loves watching all of those classic holiday films.  We just recently were sent The Muppet Christmas Carol to review and were glad to add it to our holiday movie mix.  Offered for the first time on Blu-ray Combo Pack, Digital and On-Demand, it makes the perfect holiday gift for any family!
In the movie, the classic Charles Dickens-inspired holiday story is done Muppet style with lots of laughter and holiday cheer.  Michael Caine plays the old miser Scrooge with Kermit as his long-suffering but ever-hopeful employee Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy as Cratchit's wife, and a host of Muppets (including the Great Gonzo as an unlikely Charles Dickens) taking other primary roles in this bright, playful adaptation of the classic holiday tale. Journey with Scrooge as he encounters the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.  My kids really enjoyed the movie and were seriously glued to the screen.  I think it was a big hit.  The proof was in the laughter!

And now, a word from Gonzo: Greetings, holiday movie fans and lovers of culture, I am Gonzo … or perhaps better known to fans of this classic motion picture as literary legend Charles Dickens. Are you ready to laugh, cry, sing, frolic, cavort and enjoy yourself beyond belief!? Well, you’re in luck, because this 20th Anniversary Edition of Disney’s “The Muppet Christmas Carol” is guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit that will stay with you forever—or at least until your Aunt Edna starts complaining that nobody is eating the
fruitcake she brought … again!

  1. This has been my favorite Muppet movie and Christmas carol version ever and is a must watch every year. The songs are the best and the humor is for all ages.
