The Lorax REVIEW

Have you seen The Lorax yet?  We took our kids to see this in the theater when it came out and knew this was a movie we had to own!  Luckily, it just hit shelves this week and I have been encouraging everyone I know to go out and grab it!
About the movie:
Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax transports viewers into a fantastical landscape imagined by Dr. Seuss and vividly brought to life by Chris Meledandri and his acclaimed filmmaking team at Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me). Directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me) from a screenplay adapted by Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul (Despicable Me, HOP, Horton Hears a Who) from the 1971 children’s classic, the film is an imaginative journey that begins in the town of Thneedville, where a boy searches for the one thing he knows will win the heart of his dream girl. But in order find it, he must discover the story of the Lorax, the often grumpy but loveable protector  of Truffula Valley, in an exciting adventure filled with comedy and heart that USA Today’s Claudia Puig calls, “The right blend of funny, silly, and sweet.”

Danny DeVito (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia") lends his unmistakable voice to the Lorax, the remarkable creature who “speaks for the trees,” with Ed Helms (“The Office”) as his enigmatic nemesis, the Once-ler. The all-star cast also includes Zac Efron (High School Musical) as Ted, an idealistic 12-year-old searching for the Lorax; Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift as Audrey, the girl of Ted’s dreams; Rob Riggle (The Hangover) as the villainous O’Hare; Jenny Slate (“SNL”) as Ted’s protective mother; and five-time Emmy Award winner Betty White (The Proposal) as Ted’s wise Grammy Norma. We were so thrilled when we had the opportunity to review this movie before it hit shelves.  We had a Lorax party, invited friends over, and had such a fun time celebrating this movie.  We did tons of Lorax-themed things like truffula tree crafts, finger puppets, colored pictures from the movie, played pin the mustache on the Lorax, ate Lorax snacks, and more!  It was a blast!  My kids love this movie so much that they pretty much ask to watch it every day.  We all love the great songs, the important message of saving the trees, and the overall entertainment that the movie delivers!  There were also fun new mini movies on the combo pack, tutorials on how to draw some of the characters, a game, and more fun on the DVD as well!  I HIGHLY recommend seeing this movie and getting it for your family!
