Perfect right before kids head back to school, Recess Music, a company dedicated to helping kids value a world that is wise, fair, and generous-hearted, has released Someone Else’s Shoes, the third in its “Best Foot Forward”series of CDs. A great addition to Big Bully and U R SOME 1--the other titles in the “Best Foot Forward” series, these albums help children realize that everyone is different, special, and valued.
Someone Else's Shoes would make such a great extra little back-to-school gift! It is fun to listen to and teaches important lessons as well. My daughter is heading off to Kindergarten in a few short weeks and having her listen to this CD was great. We talked about topics discussed in the songs such as when feelings get hurt, working with others in a team, being nice to everyone, and that no one is the same. I am a big fan of music with a purpose. The music on the Someone Else's Shoes album is moving, motivational, and a great teaching tool! I loved hearing that my daughter's favorite song from the album was "Say Something Nice about Someone."
Recess Music 'Best Foot Forward' trilogy of Big Bully, U R SOME 1, and Someone Else’s Shoes will help to encourage discussion among parents, children, and educators about caring, understanding, social justice, and global peace, as well as the particular challenges caused by the unfortunate presence of intimidation and bullying behavior on our social landscape." Someone Else's Shoes is a wonderful CD with great messages that all children should hear!
