I'm officially in week 12 of the Nutrisystem program and I have to admit, the last week was a tough one.
I was so motivated to work out and stick to my Nutrisystem meals, but things just kept getting in the way. Birthdays, parties, hectic schedules, illness, and more kept weighing me down. I was so frustrated when a week went by and I hadn't lost any weight. I fell into a huge slump and just thought "I'm throwing in the towel." I just completely felt un-motivated to do anything else. I slowly noticed that even though I wasn't putting on the pounds, my stomach was starting to get bigger again, I didn't feel like I had as much energy, and I started feeling gross about myself again.
What was I doing? Nutrisystem is easy. It is NOT hard to eat their food. For the most part, everything tastes good, the meals are easy to prepare, and if you eat the food and do not cheat--I firmly believe you can loose a lot of weight just doing that. Working out and being active is where I was struggling. And then it hit me--the vicious cycle of weight problems. With me, not working out or being active leads to more stress and more bad eating, and visa versa. This is a package deal! If I really want to loose weight, I will do it all. And I know in the end, I will feel so much better. My first month on Nutrisystem was awesome-- I worked out, I ate all their food, I felt so good, and lost almost 15 pounds. So I am determined to pick myself back up and make the last month and a half of this program successful! Because like the saying goes, "It's not how many times you fall that matters, it's how many times you get back up."
