I seriously just love how creative and cute kids can be. Watching my kids play pretend, make up scenarios, and interact is so much fun! Metamorphic Toys encourage creative expression and imaginative interactive play while reinforcing environmental responsibility with their great line of eco-friendly products.
Metamorphic Toys debuted this year with a line of 3 core products:
- The Everthingland Mailbox: A 10” x 10” x 24” toy mailbox that can be assembled in two easy steps with no tools or glue, and is made from sturdy corrugated cardboard that is 100% recyclable.
- Everthingland Silly Signs: A series of Welcome To, Do Not Enter, and Caution Mythical Creatures Silly Signs, that include a sign post and base, frame and a trio of reversible sign placards that kids can design.
- Everthingland Eco-Art U-Stick’Ems: Package of 97 glue-less, pre-cut stick-ons includes a home-made eco-friendly paste recipe. Give kids more control over art projects and extend the play value over ordinary stickers. Use a glue stick, paste, paint or make your own glue for eco-friendly fun.
My kids actually had the chance to try out an Everythingland Mailbox and some U-Stick'Ems for review. The mailbox really does assemble in 2 steps, which was amazing. It allowed them to start using it and playing almost instantly. I loved watching them draw and color pictures for each other, put them in the mailbox, and then announce that someone had mail. I even joined in on the fun and created some mail for my kids too. We are actually thinking about painting our mailbox because we saw some cute painted ones on their website.
The U-Stick'Ems were also cool. My kids got to color the sticker pictures (which come without sticky backings) and then you can either use the pictures by themselves or make the easy homemade environmentally friendly paste to stick them to things. It was really fun! I really like that all of the Metamorphic Toys are made in the U.S.A. using materials that are kind to the environment, safe for kids, and 100% recyclable.
Metamorphic Toys was founded by David Berglund, a dad who was concerned about how much imaginative, experiential, creative play his child was getting. "The most emotional revelation for me as a parent was watching how my child lived through her imagination and creativity,” says Berglund, who left his job as a commercial playground designer to become a stay-at-home dad. “Her unbridled joy and curiosity for everything in her world was amazing. I didn’t want the toys she played with to suck that out of her. So I decided to do something about it in an eco friendly way.”
