Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men Review & Giveaway (closed)

"Theres no hurt too big for God! Robin Good has a mission - fundraising from the rich and giving to the poor! But when a greedy Prince starts stealing the townspeople’s hams, donations are down and Robin’s band of friends desert him to give robbing a try. Can Robin overcome his hurt, show his friends what’s right and restore the townspeople's hope?"

I asked my three year old why she was so smart and her response was "because I watch movies all day!" That was not what I had in mind, since we don't watch movies all the time, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much of an impact movies and shows have on my children. As a parent, I have been very impressed with the educational shows and films available, especially VeggieTales.
Kristin and I both had the opportunity to review VeggieTales newest DVD, Robin Good and His Not-So-Merry Men. Here is what we both thought of this movie!
Kristin wrote:
"It is so refreshing when the kids and I can sit down and watch a movie that enriches and enlightens us both!  Veggie Tales has this amazing way of teaching valuable lessons through fun stories and silly characters.  My kids all really got into the Robin Good movie.  They danced to the music (seriously you should have seen it in person!), sang along to the songs, and laughed the whole way through.  In the end, they come away with an important lesson about doing what's right, what to do when they feel hurt, and overcoming obstacles.  Overall, Robin Good is a great addition to the Veggie Tales family of movies and definitely worth going out and buying!"
(Here are some pics of the kids watching the movie--don't mind the pants-less boy, it was their morning movie time):
What my family thought:
Robin Hood is such a classic story, we just fell in love with the silliness of VeggieTales twist on the story.  We just loved the fact that Robin Good fundraises from the rich and gives to the poor.  Although this movie is for kids, I found myself chuckling throughout the film. Putting the silliness aside, this movie has a great lesson about how much God loves us and how special we are. My husband and I are constantly telling our kids that they are special, so they thought that this movie was especially neat and enjoyed it a lot!

Also Included On This DVD:
The DVD also features:An adorable short video starring Junior Asparagus: "Lenny and the Lost Birthday". Plays at the start of the show before the main feature.
