Daisy Diamond Detective Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

The Daisy Diamond Detective Series is perfect for those pre-teen girls looking for some fun and adventure.  Based on a girl gumshoe, Daisy Diamond, the series includes mystery party games as well as some super fun Diasy Diamond novels.
Unlike the murder mystery games from Mysteries by Vincent, the Daisy Diamond Series do not involve murder of any kind, but instead allows girls to work together and solve a mysterious crime.  I was sent the The Time Machine Mystery game kit from the Daisy Diamond series to check it out first-hand.  This game seriously would make for such a fun slumber party, birthday party, and girls get-together!!  The plot is interesting, cute, and not too complicated.  Daisy Diamond and her best friend Sally SoSmart throw a party to celebrate Sally's invention of a time machine and use it to go back in time to pick up some special guests.  Turns out the time machine is so fun, that someone wants to steal it--but who?  The girls have to make sure the time machine doesn't get stolen during all the party fun. The game comes with everything you need--invitations, name tags, character role books, clues, complete instructions for the Grown-up in Charge, etc.--so it is super easy to put together and host!  I really liked all of the different characters: the singer, the cowgirl, the hairdresser, and even Daisy Diamond herself!  In fact, the game is set up so that the Daisy Diamond character is the star player (perfect for the birthday girl or your little hostess), and she always solves the crime in the end.  All in all, I thought the game was amazing and perfect for tween girls everywhere!
Along with the game, I got the two current Daisy Diamond books-- The Mystery of the Missing Ming and The Case of the Rising Star Ruby.  Both books were really fun reads.  The first one- The Mystery of the Missing Ming is about how Daisy Diamond and her best friend Sally SoSmart are racing to find a priceless artifact Sally's late Aunt has left behind.  They have to search through clues and mysterious findings in the Aunt's mansion before her belongings go to auction the next day.  A lot unfolded in the book.  The book easily grabs your attention and leads you through the fun journey to solving the mystery.
The second book- The Case of the Rising Star Ruby was also great to read!  It again included Daisy Diamond and her best friend Sally SoSmart, but this time the girls enlist the help of Sally's cat while they search the Pincrest Museum to find out who stole a precious ruby which was going on display there.  The book instantly reminded me of the adult murder mystery party I had played which had a lot similiar situations.  It was fun, interesting, easy-to-read, and the perfect size book for tween readers.  I acutally read the entire book over the course of a day because I couldn't put it down.
My overall impression of the Daisy Diamond Series was awesome!  Not only does the series encourage some fun reading through the mystery books, but great interaction between girls as well through the games!  I highly reccommend checking the series out!
