Green Life - Cookware (Review)

The "Healthy Choice" in Cookware
Green+Life is a new line of cookware launched by the Cookware Company, which is a merger between GreenPan, which you may be familiar with from my GreenPan review, and their major manufacturing partner, Anotech International.
Green+Life is a healthy cookware product line that is completely free of PTFE and PFOA, which are non-stick coatings used for many non-stick pans and other cookware that can release harmful fumes when heated too high.
The Green+Life products are coated with a patented Thermolon non-stick ceramic that is a mineral based coating that is heat resistant up to 850 degrees Fahrenheit.
We received a pan to review and have used it everyday since we got it. It heats up very nicely and I don't have to be worrying about harming my family with toxic chemicals. Because of the non-stick feature of this pan, cleaning up is a breeze. I simply use a soft wash cloth, or I pop it in the dishwasher, yeah that's right, in the dishwasher! These products are made for busy moms like myself!

A big THANKS to Green+Life for providing me with a product to review. These are my honest opinions, your experience may vary.

We bought the small Green Life fry pan primarily to cook my granddaughter an egg. That's all we've done in about six weeks of owning the pan. We rub it with olive oil with a paper towel, use heat a little below medium and now every egg sticks. I don't see what's so wonderful about this cookware.

Wonderful pan. Does not stick ever.
we use very little oil. Cokks even at lower heats.Everyboby who says it sticks must be trying to cook on high. We like it.

Pan is garbage.
Used it for 6 months now everything sticks. I will go back to t-fal

Under no circumstance should you buy these pans within two weeks everything you cook sticks no matter what you do. I have wasted over a hundred bucks to end up with pans that are useless for any kind of good cooking.

Count me in the "Buy this pan" group. I've been using it for weeks and not a hint of sticking. I bought the $18 one at Walmart and I'm very happy with it. The one thing that could be improved is the heat distribution. It doesn't seem to distribute heat very well, but I bought it as a safe non-stick and it accomplished that fully. I don't season it at all.

I bought the whole set! They are amazing!!! As long as you only use the plastic utincils provided they stay non stick. =) Great investment

Bad experience for me as well. Using a new pan and egg beater product sticks. Hamburger sticks. Customer service says perhaps I received a defective pan so I exchanged my pan for another new one and guess what??? Surprise...same exact thing! Customer service says they have heard this complaint twice before but never from someone using a gas stove and that it is possible it is because I have an "electric stove" - I'm not joking. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!

I purchased the 10 inch pan, had no problems until this past week when I noticed a pinhole on the bottom of the pan that was a chip. I only used it 5 times and only to sautée veggies and I use a plastic non stick spatula. I was not happy but took it back to Walmart and they exchanged it for me. Now I will see if it happens again and will let you all know.

Two of the comments I read said they were unhappy because things started to stick after a very short time. One said they used olive oil and the other said they used a non stick type spray. If they had read the little instruction booklet first they would have seen that the book says to NOT use olive oil or spray type lubricants.

Very disappointed in pan. Never used spray or olive oil cooked at low to med and after a couple weeks everything sticks even bacon. Sad I really liked it and recommended it to family members. Never again.

Thank you everyone for posting your comments. There are definitely some mixed feelings about these pans. My husband and I really like Green Pan cookware, but have indeed started to notice some of the coating on our pans are chipping off around the edges. Definitely not a good thing and will be sending an email to their PR and will let you know what they say!

I bought the 10" pan from Walmart to try out. I read the reviews here as well as the entire package. I first tried hamburger, specifically meatballs. They looked up easily. I let the pan cool then wiped it clean and only cleaned it with a rag. I didnt use the dishwasher. Next I used it for sauteeing some vegetables and again it worked just fine. I probably wouldnt use olive oil in this pan since plive oil is not great at hot temperatures. Instead I would opt for natural coconut oil. It is a better oil for high temps. So far, Im pleased.

I got a set as a gift. I washed them as instructed. I made a huge breakfast this morning using 3 different pans. I used a teaspoon of coconut oil and everything slid off. I let them cool as directed. Wiped themwith a paper towel them washed them with a gentle soap. They still looks brand new. So far I love them!
