Whole Child Creative Curriculum (Review & Giveaway) CLOSED

Curriculum In A box

I am a busy mom and I am only getting busier, so I don't always have the time to do EVERYTHING myself. I had been thinking a lot about preschool activities for my daughter, but really didn't know where to begin, so when I was contacted by Whole Child Creative Curriculum, I was ecstatic! Whole Child Curriculum has created educational and fun pre-made & downloadable learning kits for preschoolers.

About Whole Child Creative Curriculum
"Whole Child Creative Curriculum provides the following for parents/caregivers with preschoolers:
1. Craft, activity, and developmental ideas for FREE on our blog!
2. Curriculum in a Box, a month-long preschool curriculum focused around a theme.  The Box comes with a curriculum, instructions, and all supplies necessary for all activites/crafts suggested in the curriculum.
3. Curriculum in a Box PDF, a downloadable version of each theme's curriculum.  The PDF includes printable handouts, pictures, and curriculum.
4. Craft Kits, a unique collection of pre-made seasonal craft kits.  The kit comes with a Suggested Extensions page as well."
About Curriculum in a Box
Whole Child Creative Curriculum's Curriculum in a Box is a professionally created monthly preschool curriculum for parents and home day care providers.

The concept is simple and effective.  The curriculum box contains an activity or craft for each school day in the month.  An accompanying lesson plan gives the parent or teacher instructions for the lesson, including warm-ups, the feature activity or craft, and follow-up activities.  Over the course of a month the Whole Child is educated in math, science, language, pre-reading, pre-writing, social, physical, emotional, and creative avenues.

September 2011 Oceans Kit
I had the delightful opportunity of working with Carla, the creator and genius behind Curriculum In A Box. She is a certified teacher and is experienced in teaching and writing curriculum, while currently teaching preschoolers and toddlers professionally.
I received the Oceans Themed Box Kit to review. What I like most about these kits is everything is done for me and at a VERY reasonable price. All the supplies are carefully labeled and stored in separate little bags. There is a calendar in the front of the lesson book, so you are able to see what each day will be about. There is one lesson for each week day, and they are very easy to follow.
My daughter had a blast as we've gone through each activity and the best thing is she didn't even realize that she was learning her numbers, letters, shapes, colors and so much more at the same time. This is my time that I set aside for her while her sister is asleep, and she loves it. She feels very important, and her excitement to learn is unreal!
Buy It!
Purchase the Oceans Theme Curriculum and Supplies for 1 Child for $13.99 or purchase the Oceans Preschool Theme PDF for only $3.99.
These are available on their website!

  1. what a neat idea! im homeschool "preschool" my sons who are 3 1/2 and 2 1/2 and it definitely takes time to plan all the activities. I love the time-saving factor---and the price [even for a cheap-o like me} is very reasonable. really great idea. love the themes! the ocean theme would be so fun!

  16. I think what I love most is that they do the planning for you! I have just started pre school with my 3 1/2 year old and I am at a loss as to what to do each day. I have checked out library books on the subject and they help, but this is awesome!

  33. What a great idea! I struggle sometimes getting ideas and actually implementing them in to activities for my sons, so I like that these are already ready to go, and that they took all the time to purchase everything, etc. NO trips to the store for me? Awesome!
