Take It From Me: Earth Bound Farm Organic Review & over $100 Prize Pack Giveaway! CLOSED

Earth Bound Farm Organic Review & over $100 Prize Pack Giveaway! CLOSED

At Earthbound Farm, our unwavering commitment to organic farming comes from our concern for health. Farming organically helps keep our consumers and our environment healthy by avoiding the use of harmful chemicals. Organic farming focuses on building the fertility of the soil with natural materials, resulting in rich, vital field ecosystems that produce fruits and vegetables as pure and healthy as they were intended to be.
Earthbound Farm has an entire section just for kids. Kids are the most susceptible to the negative effects of pesticides, so education about eating healthy and making the right organic choices is key.
My husband and I are always looking for good cook books, so we were ecstatic when we received
THE EARTHBOUND COOK: Recipes for Delicious Food and a Healthy Planet and FOOD TO LIVE BY: The Earthbound Farm Organic Cookbook. I am trying to eat less meat and in The Earthbound Cook, there are several delicious Vegetarian Entrees that I absolutely love and makes thinking of different meals a breeze. Another great chapter that I can't stay away from is the Baking chapter. I have an obsession with bread, it doesn't matter what kind, although I do have my favorites, so making my own bread is so much fun! These cookbooks have been great, and I look forward to using these for my go to recipes.
Fun links you will LOVE!

  11. To pit, cut lengthwise (through the stem end) by running a small, sharp knife all around the fruit until the knife touches the stone (or pit); then twist apart the two halves. If the pit doesn't slide out easily, pry it out with the tip of a teaspoon, or push the blade of a knife into the pit, then twist to lift and remove it. Peel the avocado by pulling back the skin from the stem end, or simply scoop out the soft flesh with a spoon.

  25. I have been eating Earthbound Farm Brand veggies for YEARS! I actually have some of their spinach, carrots, and baby greens in my fridge right now! LOL I learned this from their site and am amazed!!!!! I have been wanting to make saag paneer with their spinach...good to know this: "One pound of baby spinach looks like a lot, but once cooked, your pound of leaves will reduce to about 1 cup, losing roughly 80 to 90% of its volume. To calculate yields, plan on 1/2 cup cooked spinach per person."
