Take It From Me: Purex Complete with Zout Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

Purex Complete with Zout Review & GIVEAWAY (closed)

One of a mom’s worst enemies is stains!! I swear kids are pretty much born with an innate ability to attract stains because from baby blow outs to messy toddlers, adventurous tweens, and active teens- kids and stains go together like peanut butter and jelly!  Luckily I was able to be introduced to a new stain-fighting detergent from Purex, the new Purex Complete with Zout!!
Purex Complete with Zout combines the proven performance of Purex detergent with the triple-enzyme stain-fighting power of Zout stain remover. This powerful combination works to get stains out the first time, even tough stains like grass, chocolate, and tomato sauce.
(From Purex Fact Sheet)Purex Complete with Zout contains three powerful stain-fighting enzymes.
Each enzyme targets a different type of stain:
- Protease: Works against protein based stains such as grass and blood
- Amylase: Works against starchy stains such as chocolate and tomato sauce
- Mannanase: Works against guar, which is used as a thickener in many foods, such as ice cream, barbecue sauce, and salad dressing, because it’s super sticky. Unfortunately it really sticks to fabrics too, making stains very difficult to remove. That’s why the Mannanase enzyme is so important in Purex Complete with Zout.
After using the Purex Complete with Zout detergent for a few weeks, I can honestly tell you that I am completely impressed by its performace! It has amazing stain fighting ability, is so convenient to use, and smells wonderfully! I got the Fresh Morning Burst kind and love that even though it has fragrance in it, the formula is still hypoallergenic and gentle enough for my son, whose eczema reacts to harsh detergents. You can also get the Purex Complete with Zout detergent in the Free & Clear formula which contains no scent. I saw the Purex with Zout detergent remove grass stains, food stains, art stains, colored liquids, and more on items I had in my laundry. I am hooked on the product and would definitely recommend it to others!
Another great thing about this product is that you can actually use it as both a pre-treater and a detergent! So you can use it with your everyday laundry as well as utilize it on your heavily soiled loads. (Make sure that the clothing you use it on is marked as machine washable, and as always, follow the washing directions on the clothing label.) On your normal wash loads, just use it as you would a normal detergent. Then, for those really tough stains, pour a little of it directly on the stain and rub into fabric. You should also let it sit for 5 minutes before putting it into the washer so it has a chance to really work! It’s that simple!
Purex Complete with Zout is not only tough on stains, but it also costs far less than the leading brand of liquid detergent. It is priced from $3.49 to $7.99 depending on size and retailer.

  41. that's a handy stain treatment guide. I'd use this on food stains -- I spend much too much time trying to get chocolate and ketchup out of my one-year old too-old-to-allow-mom-anywhere-near-me-with-a-bib clothes.
